Islington is a hub of culture and arts, and we are beyond fortunate with the amount of wonderful theatres that surrounds our hostel. This week we have chosen to highlight the Almedia Theatre. Located just a short 15 minute walk away from Prime Backpackers, off the main road, along a beautiful blossom tree street rests this wonderful theatre, its the perfect spotlight!

This Spring we have so many bank holidays to look forward too! From Early May, Spring Bank Holiday and celebrating King Charles III’s Coronation. London is going to be the place to be, and to make it a little easier to make sure you make the most, we’ve put together our top four activities to experience this Bank Holiday.

Many see summer as the season to visit London, and we can see why, from Wimbledon, park picnics and evenings spent sipping rosé, but it’s also the busiest and more expensive time to come visit.

It is set to be another hot summer week in London. With the sunshine in mind, we thought we’d share one of our favourite open air swimming spots in North London. Our local spotlight this week is Hampstead Heath Ponds. 

Islington canal is one of our favourite hidden gems. Turn one corner you’re in the heart of buzzing London, and the other and your strolling along side river boats, under low hanging trees, and peaceful water ways. Whenever we walk along it in the hum of summer we’re all seeking the same thing, somewhere we can sit and eat whilst enjoying the canal, and we have the perfect local spotlight for you.

We are currently experiencing the hottest day in history in London. With this hot weather, we thought we’d share one of our favourite hidden gardens, which is the perfect oasis to stay cool and relaxed.

KOD, which stands for ‘king of delight’ is a delicious local restaurant, which is loved by us at Prime and local’s in the area. Whether your a meat-eater, veggie or vegan, they have something exciting and yummy for you to try.

Every comedy lover needs to visit the Bill Murray Club here in Angel. It’s run by comedians for comedians and is dedicated to being affordable for everyone. From showcasing new talent with free standup seven days a week, to hosting some of the most well known UK comedians, it’s the perfect comedy gem.

Our local spotlight this week is Candid Cafe, which truly is a very hidden (and secret to most) gem! One that everyone here at Prime loves to visit regularly.
